Regência Augusta - Trailer (doc)
On November 5th, 2015, the breakup of the Fundão dam, in Mariana (MG)-Brazil, became the biggest environmental tragedy in the country. The tsunami of water and tailings traveled more than 600 kilometers and landed in the sea 17 days later. Augusta regency, a small village of little more than 800 inhabitants located at the mouth of the Rio Doce and main base of the TAMAR Project in Espírito Santo, was one of the last regions to be affected. The film, narrated by the residents of the Regency, seeks to reveal the human and economic impact and the feeling of sadness and revolt that took over the Village a day after the toxic mud devastated the landscape of the place.
